中朝贸易始于1950年。进入新世纪以来，中朝贸易发展迅速，尤其是自2003年以来连创历史新高，2007年达19.7亿美元。

The trade between China and DPR Korea started 1950s.
Trade has developed very fast since its entering into the new century. Especially since 2003, the new records were frequently broken. In 2007, the total trade volume amounted to 1.97 billion USD.

双向投资日趋活跃。其中，中国对朝投资方兴未艾，投资领域涉及矿产资源、饲料添加剂、烟草、轻工等。截至2007年底，中国对朝实际投资存量6713万美元。中国实际利用朝鲜投资金额9589万美元。

The bilateral trade between China and DPR Korea becomes more and more frequent. Among which, the investment fields are expanded to mining resources, feed itives, tobacco and light industry. By the end of 2007, China’s actual investment to DPR Korea was 67.13 million USD, and the DPR Korea actual investment in China amounted to 95.89 million USD.

Consolidatory and Mutual Help Building a New Monument of Friendship
2005年10月9日，由中国政府无偿援建的、朝鲜最高领导人金正日亲自命名的朝鲜大安友谊玻璃厂正式竣工投产。这座矗立在大同江畔的现代化工厂被朝鲜人民称为“新时期朝中友谊的最高象征”。

On October 9th 2005, DPR Korea Da'an Friendship Glass Plant named by the top leader Kim Jong Il of DPR Korea and supported freely by the Chinese Government was formally completed and put into production. The modern factory erected by the side of Datong River is regarded as “top symbol of China-DPR Korea friendship in new stage” by the DPR Korea People.
