Chinese communications companies have won the favor of the Iraqis with reliable technology, equipment of excellent quality as well as competitive prices. ZTE entered the Iraq market in 1999, ZTE Corporation, undertook 3 major backbone transmission network project before the war and managed to win the 210,000 line CDMA WLL project despite post-war difficulties and has greatly improved Iraq's communications infrastructure.

Cooperation in technical project between China and Iraq has a long history. After the war, as a pioneer in the field of engineering cooperation, in early 2007 Sinoma Group signed with Iraq’s Mass company the first 5,000 tons / day cement production line contract, and gradually, this Chinese company was recognized by all sides in Iraq, which paved its way to expand its market share in Iraqi market.
