中以建交以来双边贸易增长迅速，自1992年建交初期的5000万美元在15年时间内增长超过100倍，2007年达53亿美元。2007年以色列总理奥尔默特访华期间设定了2010年双边贸易额达到100亿美元的目标。

The bilateral trade between China and Israel is growing rapidly, which has reached 5.3 billion USD in 2007,100 times more than that of 16 years ago, when the diplomatic relationship was established in 1992. A new target to reach 10 billion USD was set by Israel when Primier Minister Olmert visited to China in 2007.

      中国土木工程集团公司承建的以色列海法市卡迈尔公路隧道项目是中国企业在以色列中标的第一个大型工程建设项目，是中国对外承包工程业务进入以色列市场的标志。卡迈尔隧道工程全长9600多米，项目合同金额9000多万美元，带动劳务输出500余人。

The Carmel Tunnel Project, contracted by China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, is the first large engineering project undertaken by Chinese companies in Israel, marking the beginning of the Chinese contracted engineering industry entering the Israeli market. The Carmel Tunnel is designed for a length of 9,600 meters, with a total amount of $90 million contracted and more than 500 Chinese workers working on the project.
