从1979年到2007年，中埃双边贸易年均增长17％，2007年的双边贸易达46亿美元。埃及是中国在非洲地区的第四大贸易伙伴，第二大商品出口国。

The China-Egypt bilateral trade volume was increasing at an average level of 17% annually 1979 to 2007, and it reached USD 4.6 billion in 2007. Egypt has become the fourth trading partner and the second export market of China in the African region.

      作为埃及人民的好朋友、好伙伴，中国对埃及的经济社会发展提供了力所能及的帮助。1989年建成的开罗国际会议中心是中国在埃援建的最大项目。目前该中心仍然是埃最大的会议场所，也是埃及的标志性建筑之一，被穆巴拉克总统誉为“中埃合作的典范”。

As the good friend and partner of Egyptians, China has tried to provide assistance to the economic and social development of Egypt. The Cairo International Conference Center which was built in 1989 is the biggest project of China Aid in Egypt. Now it remains the biggest site for conference in Egypt and has been praised as the “Model of China-Egypt Cooperation”.

      埃及是第一个同新中国互设商务代表处的阿拉伯和非洲国家。两国建交以来先后签订了多项贸易、投资协定，召开了5届经贸混委会，促进了双边经贸关系的快速发展。两国企业交流频繁，2002年双方成立中埃联合商务理事会。埃多个商会成立中国分会。参加每届广交会的埃及客商都在2000人以上。

Egypt is the first one that set up commercial representative office each other with P.R.China among Arabian and African ries. Ever since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China and Egypt have signed many trade and investment protocols and held 5 sessions of Economic and Trade Joint Committee, which accelerated the development of bilateral economic and trade relations. The intercommunication between enterprises of two sides is also frequent, and in 2002 China-Egypt Joint Business Council was founded. Several Egyptian chambers of commerce have set up the sub-chamber of China. Every session of the China Import & Export Fair (Canton Fair) welcomes over 2,000 Egyptian business visitors.
