The project of Guinea-Bissau People’s Palace (Parliament Building), began construction on February 6, 2002 and finished on March 23, 2005, was contracted and built by Jiangsu Construction Company with total floor space of 6,315 square meters. At present, it is the most magnificent building in Guinea-Bissau.

      该项目于2001年3月12日开工建设，2002年10月12日竣工。该项目由江苏省国际经济技术合作公司承建，共建老战士住宅130套，总建筑面积15000多平方米。项目的建成极大地改善了几内亚比绍独立战争时期的老战士居住条件，是几内亚比绍首都比绍市的一大亮点。

The aiding project of Guinea-Bissau Veterans’ Dwelling House, started on March 12, 2001 and was completed on October 12, 2002. It was contracted and built by Jiangsu International Economic and Technological Cooperation Company with 130 sets of veterans’ houses and total floor space of 15,000 square meters. The establishment of this project greatly improved the housing conditions of veterans who fought in the period of War of Independence in Guinea-Bissau. Moreover, this project is also a bright spot of Bissau city, capital of Guinea-Bissau.

      1999年起，中国政府派遣农业技术专家赴几比开展水稻种植方面的技术指导、示范和人才培训。从中国引进的23个水稻品种试种均获成功，其中有10个品种荣获几比农业部科技进步奖。同时，中国农业专家组还为几比培训了大批农业技术人员，为几比农业技术进步和自我发展作出了突出贡献，受到几比政府领导人的赞扬和当地农民的欢迎。

China—Guinea-Bissau Agricultural Technology Cooperation Project started in 1999. During the period of cooperation, the Chinese government dispatched agricultural technologists to carry out many activities of technological guidance demonstration and talents training on rice planting. 23 rice varieties, introduced China, have all achieved success, of which, 10 rice varieties have won the championship of Good Progress Award on Science and Technology in Guinea-Bissau. Meanwhile, Chinese agricultural technologists trained a large number of technicians for Guinea-Bissau, and made outstanding contribution for the development of Guinea-Bissau science and technology and its self-development. They won warm praise Guinea-Bissau leaders and local farmers.
