中比贸易额近年来发展较快,比目前是中国在欧盟内第七大贸易伙伴,中国则为比第九大贸易伙伴。两国贸易额从1978年的1.17亿美元增长到2007年的176.5亿美元。中向比出口主要产品为机电产品、纺织品、珍珠宝石等,中从比进口主要产品为钻石、纺织机械等。

The value of trade between China and Belgium have developed rapidly in recent years. Belgium is now the seventh largest trading partner of China in EU, and China is Belgium’s ninth largest trading partner. The value of trade between the two ries grew 117 million U.S. dollars in 1978 to 17.65 billion U.S. dollars in 2007. The main export products China to Belgium are mechanical and electrical products, textiles, pearls and precious stones and so on, while main import products Belgium to China are diamonds, textile machinery and so on.

Investment and Cooperation Developing Steadily

从1992年贝卡尔特集团在江阴与当时的江苏江阴钢绳厂(现江苏法尔胜股份有限公司)合资建立第一家钢帘线工厂至今,贝卡尔特在华独资与合资的公司已扩展至15家,投资总额超过45亿元人民币,是中比两国在华最重要的合作项目之一。

Since the first joint venture plant was set up in 1992 by Bekaert and Jiangyin Steel Wire Rope Factory (now Jiangyin Fasten Company Limited), Bekaert has expanded itself into 15 plants (wholly owned and joint venture companies). The total investment of Bekaert in China has exceeded 4.5 billion RMB, which is one of the most important projects cooperated in China by China and Belgium.

Broad Prospects of China-Belgium Economic and Trade Cooperation

2006年7月20日18:10,海南航空“北京—布鲁塞尔”首航航班平稳降落在布鲁塞尔国际机场。这是目前连接北京和“欧洲首都”布鲁塞尔的唯一直飞航线,为中比两国建交35周年献上了一份珍贵的贺礼。

At 610 p.m. on July 20, 2006, the inaugural flight of “Beijing - Brussels” of Hainan Airlines, landed smoothly in Brussels International Airport. This is the only direct route linking Beijing and Brussels, the “capital of Europe”, and presented a precious gift for the 35th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations of the two ries.
