改革开放30年来，中法双边贸易额取得突飞猛进的发展。从1978年的4.3亿美元，增长到2007年的336.7亿美元，增长了78倍。与此同时，中国对法国的出口商品结构，也从过去以初级产品为主，发展为以机电和高科技产品为主。

The last three decades have witnessed tremendous growth in the bilateral trade volume, 430 million USD in 1978 to 33.67 billion in 2007, with absolute value up by 78 times. In the meanwhile, the export product structure China to France has also evolved primary products to mechanical, electronic and high-tech products.

In three decades, direct investment France has grown zero to over 3,000 projects by the end of 2007, covering various fields including petrochemicals, automobile and retails industry. Economic and trade cooperation between China and France has been at the forefront of China’s reform and opening-up. In June 1980, Citroen France, together with 92 horizontal enterprises, held a large-scale automobile exhibition in Canton. It was the first time that the large-scale automobile exhibition has been held since its foundation of the P.R.C.
