1985年奥地利正式向中国提供第一笔政府混合贷款，计划用于中国27个小水电项目合作。1995年起贷款使用范围扩大到其他工业领域。两国政府的财政合作，带动了奥地利企业的产品和技术进入中国市场。这一合作至今还在继续。

In 1985，Austria provided the first batch of mixed loans to the Chinese Government, for 27 hydropower projects. Since 1995, the loans were used in wider fields. The loan cooperation between the two ries brought many Austrian companies to the Chinese market and the project is still on-going up to now.

      20世纪80年代初期，中国从奥地利普拉塞-陶依尔公司引进了先进的铁路大型养路机械制造技术并合作生产。到目前为止，中国的清筛机、捣固车、配碴车、稳定车等铁路大型养路机械的技术主要是在引进、消化吸收奥地利普拉塞-陶依尔公司铁路大型养路机械技术的基础上发展起来的。

In the early 1980s, China introduced advanced large-scale railway track maintenance machinery manufacturing technology and started joint production with Plasser&Theurer Austria. So far, the technology of large railway maintenance machinery including ballast cleaning machine, tamping machine, ballast distributing machine and stabilizers are all built on the technology the Plasser&Theurer Company.

      斯太尔技术引进项目是国家为发展中国重型汽车工业，解决当时汽车工业“缺重”的矛盾，列入了国家“八 五”重点项目，由中国重汽于1983年从当时的奥地利斯太尔公司全套引进斯太尔91系列重型汽车整车制造技术，总投资11.58亿元。经过20多年的建设，斯太尔已成为中国重型汽车市场的主力车型，为中国重型汽车工业的发展做出了重要的贡献。斯太尔技术引进项目业已成为中奥合作的成功范例。

The introduction of the Steyr technology was meant to help develop the heavy-duty vehicle industry and the project was listed as a state key project. In 1983, Sinotruk introduced a full set of whole vehicle manufacturing technology of Steyr 91 series Austrian Steyr Company, with total investment reaching 1.158 billion Yuan. In over two decades, Steyr has evolved into a major vehicle type in the heavy-duty vehicle market in China, making great contribution to this industry. The Steyr project has become a successful model in the history of China-Austria cooperation.
