从1988年到2007年,中冰双边贸易额从294万美元增长到3.93亿美元(冰方统计),增长130倍,中国成为冰岛在亚洲地区的最重要贸易伙伴。中冰贸易互补性强。中冰双边投资领域日益扩大,涉及能源、食品、电脑软件业、制药业、金融业、房地产业等多个领域。

1988 to 2007, the bilateral trade volume between China and Iceland increased 2.94 million US dollars to 393 million US dollars (according to the statistics of Iceland), growing 130 times. China became the most important trading partner of Iceland in Asia. The trade of the two ries is complementary to each other. The bilateral investment fields have increased day by day, covering the fields of energy, food, software, medicine, finance and real estate.

2004年开始,冰岛在东北部卡拉纽卡建设水电站,中国500名劳务人员历时四年,于2008年10月顺利完成了工程大坝及隧道项目的建设,他们兢兢业业、吃苦耐劳的工作表现和精神给冰岛人民留下了深刻印象。

Starting 2004, a hydropower station was begun to build in Karahnjukar, the northeast part of Iceland. During these four years, with the help of 500 Chinese workers, the dam and tunnel construction project was successfully completed. Their conscientious spirit and hardworking performance left the local Iceland people a deep impression.

With the in-depth development of China’s “Going Global” strategy, Wuhan Lingyun Building Decorative Engineering Co.,Ltd. won the bid of Iceland Opera glass curtain wall installation project with total construction materials and installation contract price of around 12.5 million euros, which is China’s first large-scale formal contract project undertaken by Chinese enterprise in Iceland.
