The Rapidly Increasing Trading Volumes between China and Georgia

近年来,中格贸易保持快速增长的势头,双边贸易额从2001年的700万美元增加到2007年的近2亿美元。据中国海关统计,2007年中国与格鲁吉亚贸易额1.92亿美元,创造中格贸易历史最高纪录,同比增长125%,其中中国出口1.76亿美元,增长125.1%;进口1557万美元,增长124%。

In recent years, the trade between Georgia and China keeps rapid increase with the bilateral trade volume increasing 7 million U.S. dollars in 2001 to nearly 200 million U.S. dollars in 2007. According to the statistics given by China Customs, the trade volume between Georgia and China achieved 192 million U.S. dollars, reaching the highest record in the history of bilateral trade, with an increase of 125%. Chinese export was 176 million U.S. dollars with an increase of 125.1% and import 15.57 million U.S. dollars with an increase of 124% in 2007.

中格建交以来,两国经贸合作不断扩大并取得积极成果。2001年2月,作为中格经贸合作的第一个大型投资项目的格鲁吉亚卡杜里水电站正式开工。电站2台机组分别于2004年11月和2005年10月并网发电。
图为卡杜里水电站。该电站受到中格两国政府的高度关注,被誉为新丝绸之路的一颗明珠。
Since the establishment of the diplomatic relation between Georgia and China, the economic and trade cooperation of the two ries has been developed constantly and achieved positive outcomes. In February 2001, Georgia Khadori Hydropower Station, as the first large investment project in the economic and trade cooperation between Georgia and China, was formally commenced. The two power units were merged grid to generate power in November 2004 and October 2005 respectively.
