Since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and China, China has provided economic assistance many times and implemented several projects, which enhanced the development of the good neighborly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation of the two ries. In August 2006, at the request of the Kyrgyzstan Government, China provided 1,205 sets of farming tractors in a very short time to Kyrgyzstan. President Askar Akayew wrote twice to President Hu Jintao expressing his thanks.
