China provided aid to Antigua and Barbuda by building a cricket field which can hold 10,000 spectators in order to support the Caribbean region to stage World Cup of Cricket 2007.
The picture shows Antigua and Barbuda Cricket Field which was completed in February 2007, including VIP platform and the media center. Now this cricket field is the new symbol of China –Antigua and Barbuda friendship.

By providing selfless assistance to Antigua and Barbuda, China implemented numerous economic aid projects, which not only promotes the economic and social development in Antigua and Barbuda, but also lays a solid foundation for China-Antigua and Barbuda friendly relationship.

The backward infrastructure development in Antigua and Barbuda seriously affects the living standard of local residents. Chinese enterprises, by taking the opportunity of contracting projects as well as the preferential loan support the Chinese government, are actively involved in the local infrastructure development.
