自中澳两国建交以来，特别是中国改革开放以来，双边经贸合作的发展十分迅速，双边贸易额在近30年中的年均增长率超过20%。中澳两国经济互补性强，经贸合作潜力巨大，两国经贸的未来充满希望。

On May 30, 2001, NUCTECH Company Limited (formerly known as Tsinghua Tongfang Nuclear Technology) and Australian Customs Service held a ceremony of selling contract signing on container inspection systems. 2001 to 2004, NUCTECH has installed port container inspection systems in four ports of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.
